Speaker

Kimberly Blaker, editor and coauthor of The Fundamentals of Extremism: the Christian Right in America speaks to audiences around the country on the effects of  Christian fundamentalism and the religious right on women, children, African-Americans, gays and lesbians, society, and politics. Kimberly lives in Michigan and has been a keynote speaker on this topic for groups and events held around the country.  She is a syndicated writer and columnist, social advocate, and staunch supporter of the separation of church and state. She writes a syndicated weekly column, The Wall™, on church and state and other issues from a liberal perspective. Her commentaries have also appeared in the Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, San Francisco Examiner, and Los Angeles Daily Journal. Her syndicated women's and parenting articles have appeared in more than 100 magazines. She has also been published several times in the national Complete Woman Magazine. The Fundamentals of Extremism is based on her award-winning research paper, "Christian Fundamentalism: A Growing Danger."
